Ready to explore! What happens when carbon dioxide is produced? How can invisible gases be detected? What are solutions and why does it foam when bathing?
In this introductory course, children aged 9 to 13 will learn the essential chemical concepts such as solutions, mixtures, elements, and compounds in their laboratory, and practice using their very own lab equipment. They will quickly discover how to use a pipette to measure liquids, what petri dishes are for, and how to handle the four included chemicals safely and skillfully.
The young researchers will observe the formation of carbon dioxide, detect acids and bases with indicator solution, investigate the properties of soap and shower gel, and even conduct simple electrochemical experiments. Everything is explained step by step and age-appropriately in the instruction booklet of the KOSMOS experiment kit. It's the perfect introduction to gain initial experiences in the exciting STEM science of chemistry.
