The all-wheel-drive military vehicle Laffly V15T was developed in 1938 and entered service with the French Army in 1939. It was used for various tasks, but its primary purpose was initially to tow the 25-mm anti-tank gun Modèle 1934 Hotchkiss. Compared to other military vehicles, the Laffly's equipment featured an unusual chassis design - additional wheels at the front and under the middle section of the body. These wheels were intended to improve the vehicle's off-road capability on the battlefield. Laffly produced only 100 units. Additionally, the company La Licorne, which manufactured this tractor at the automobile plant in Courbevoie, was involved in the production. Some of the Laffly V15T vehicles were equipped with Hotchkiss machine guns. These machine guns were characterized by an original power supply system (magazines with 25 rounds each) and a massive bronze cooler that kept the barrel cool. The machine guns were installed at the rear of the vehicle, in the transport compartment, and could be used for both fire support of units and targeting aerial threats.
