Under Emperor Trajan, the borders of the empire are secure, allowing the people's attention to focus on the capital, Rome. Therefore, send goods by ship, increase the number of votes in the Senate, satisfy the demands of the populace, deploy your workers for construction, or your legions to occupy new territories. In Trajan, you must intelligently distribute the action tokens on the action circle's trays to make the most effective use of the opportunities provided by the tactical options of the six different actions. You need to try to execute your actions at the right moment by seizing unexpected opportunities, all while making life difficult for your opponents! You should also plan the most important actions a few rounds in advance. The game is played in four quarters, each consisting of four rounds. At the end of the game, the player with the most victory points wins. The deluxe version includes trays and fabric bags to make it easier to handle the components and to enhance the game's organization. The game boards and time markers have also been modified.
