Hellas & Elysium is the first expansion for Terraforming Mars. It includes two new game boards that can be played instead of the Tharsis map from the base game. Elysium takes players almost to the opposite side of the Martian equator, featuring vast plains for oceans in the north and a dry, mineral-rich south. Place a tile on Olympus Mons, the highest peak in the solar system, to receive three free cards! Hellas, the southern wilderness, encompasses the south pole of Mars and the massive Hellas crater with seven spaces, which practically begs to become a giant lake. Building around the pole gives you new placement bonuses in the form of heat and possibly even water.
