Risk in Azeroth

In this epic adventure set in the World of Warcraft universe, players travel to the frozen continent of Northrend to confront the armies of the Lich King. This Pandemic System game features familiar mechanics and gameplay that have now been optimized to incorporate the setting of Wrath of the Lich King. Fortresses, temples, battlefields, and more populate the game board as you and your fellow heroes journey through the icy landscape. Along the way, you will build fortresses, complete quests, and battle legions of undead.

Fight against the Lich King's minions

You and your friends will join forces as legendary heroes from across Azeroth, each with their own unique abilities to assist in and out of combat. Heroes like Thrall, Warchief of the Horde; Varian Wrynn, King of Stormwind; Sylvanas Windrunner, Banshee Queen of the Forsaken; and many more are at your disposal. As the Scourge grows, more undead will populate the board. Roll the dice as you engage in battle against hordes of ghouls and gruesome abominations, use hero cards to strengthen your attacks, block incoming assaults, heal wounds, summon mounts to distant areas, and much more.

Complete quests

On your path to the Lich King, you must neutralize all kinds of dark magic and horrific creatures under his control. This is done through quests, a brand-new mechanic that can be completed as a team through a combination of dice rolls and the use of the hero cards available to you. However, each quest brings its own dangers and obstacles. Complete these quests to get closer to the final assault on Icecrown Citadel, where the Lich King resides.
