Product details

With the self-constructed Airmarine Special, Joe Michelini won the title in the APBA Class F in 1958. With over 25 years of experience in boat building, he developed a special hull that makes the Airmarine Special a very stable racing boat capable of speeds over 110 km/h. This wonderful racing boat has been reconstructed in a scale of 1:5.2. The model is entirely built from mahogany and birch plywood. The cockpit and tail surfaces are covered with Oratex, which is included in the kit. The construction is carried out using proven techniques on a Depron jig, which guarantees precise and easy assembly due to the pre-punched templates. The Airmarine Special is powered by an outboard motor, which is available as an accessory. The kit includes: a detailed and richly illustrated construction manual, all mahogany, pine, and plywood parts laser-cut, Oratex for covering, hardware, parts made of nickel silver, and a Depron jig.
