Absima Yucatan
RTR Ready-to-RunProduct details
The Yucatan is a high-end "Ready-to-Run" crawler in 1:8 scale, based on the successful ABSIMA CR3.4 chassis. All the features that have made its smaller 1:10 scale siblings (Sherpa, Khamba) so successful have been incorporated. The 1:8 chassis allows for more extreme maneuvers, and the larger body size enhances details, giving the vehicle a stunning appearance on the road. It comes equipped with an 80A speed controller from Hobbywing, which is fully programmable (optional programming box 2110060). Combined with the larger and more powerful 775 motor, the vehicle achieves a top speed of over 30 km/h when using a 3S LiPo battery. Thus, not only is the obstacle a challenge, but the journey to it is also part of the adventure.
Portal axles provide not only a greater distance from the differential housing to the ground compared to conventional axles, but they also have another positive feature. In traditional crawlers, the torque generates so much force that the vehicle jumps over obstacles. The design of the portal axles reduces the gear ratio at the wheels and practically eliminates torque spikes from the drive. The overall gear reduction ratio of the axle drive is more than double that of non-portal versions, ensuring a smooth operation.
