It needs two 18 volt batteries. There is an offer with charger for 169.- here. The batteries are good and last a long time. I wouldn't use any weaker than the 5-Ah ones offered there.

The DUC254Z requires an 18V battery BL18XXB, smaller than 5Ah (BL1850B) makes little sense.
The saw is good, I can recommend it.
