Is it possible to work with this thermometer without a mobile phone and take readings from the device? and can I set a basic temperature setting on the device, but can I also customise it? and is the ambient temperature displayed in addition to the core temperature? I am curious. Thank you in advance for your reply

Possible without a mobile phone. The target temperature for each individual sensor is set on the device (or on the mobile) itself; it can also be readjusted. The appliance indicates what it should do: The core temperature. I hope that answers the question.
