The irrigation system basically works with solar energy and requires sufficient light to charge the batteries. It can work indoors if there is enough natural light or strong artificial light to supply the solar panel with sufficient energy. However, the system is primarily designed for outdoor use (balcony, terrace) where direct sunlight is available to make optimum use of the solar cells. Without sufficient light indoors, the solar energy cannot generate enough power to operate the pump reliably.
