oh yes, the connection on the pool is 32mm. This means that if your hose from/to the pump is 38mm, you need two adapters. With 32mm it works without one.

I don't have an Intex sand filter pump, but another one, but normally you don't need an adapter, i.e. if your filter pump already has two hoses (inlet and outlet), then you simply have to attach them to the pool). If you want to be absolutely sure, then a skimmer for suction would be recommended.
