A rich, dark brown pigment, burnt umber, is derived from natural brown clays found in the earth. It is named after Umbria, a region in Italy where it was mined. The burning of the raw pigment intensifies its color.
Our Galeria acrylic paints are wonderfully affordable yet impressive in their vibrancy and quality. We have crafted them with a high pigment content and created opaque versions of some naturally transparent colors. Their texture is buttery enough for quick and easy coverage, yet thick enough to retain brush strokes if desired. There are 60 great colors to choose from.
