Reconditioning: A lead-acid battery that has not been sufficiently charged or has remained discharged for days or weeks will be affected in its performance due to sulfation. If the process is stopped in time, sulfation can be partially reversed by charging the battery with low current until a higher voltage is reached.

Function for restoring fully discharged batteries: Most chargers with reverse polarity protection do not recognize a battery discharged to zero volts or nearly zero volts and therefore do not charge it. However, the Blue Smart IP65 charger attempts to recharge a fully discharged low-current battery and continues normal charging once sufficient voltage is applied at the battery terminals.
