The SPAX typical drive T-STAR plus is a so-called internal hexagon. This shape increases the contact surface of our T-STAR plus, allowing the T-STAR plus bits to fit optimally in the screw head. The best possible power transfer from the screwdriver to the screw through T-STAR plus enables quick work, significantly more efficient than with any other drives.

The fixing thread consists of a main thread that is inserted into the substructure and the underhead thread. This underhead thread ensures that the decking board is securely held on the substructure under all weather conditions. The smooth shaft between the threaded parts absorbs the movements of the board. You will never have to re-screw wooden boards again because they loosen or creak too much!

The CUT tip of our SPAX screws allows for extremely fast and effective screwing of our wood screws without pre-drilling. The arrow-shaped CUT tip, in combination with the wave profile, reduces splitting and tearing of the wood. Furthermore, the CUT tip allows for very precise and slip-resistant placement of the screw tip even on smooth surfaces.

Stainless steel screws A4 can do everything that A2 stainless steel screws can do. However, the higher alloy also makes these screws resistant to acid and seawater. These screws are primarily used in coastal regions. Since there is acid in chlorinated water, you should also use stainless steel screws A4 if you are planning a wooden deck around a garden pool.
