The ABR angle connectors with rib are made of hot-dip galvanized sheet steel and are suitable for load-bearing timber structures where large forces need to be transmitted. The steel quality is S 250 GD + Z 275 according to DIN EN 10346, with corrosion protection of 275 g/m² on both sides, corresponding to a zinc layer thickness of approximately 20 μm.

Advantages include load bearing in all directions, optimized load bearing capacities for full and partial nailing out, and the formation of wood/wood connections, as well as wood/concrete or steel connections. The long, vertical leg provides transverse tension restraint for tension anchorages.

Supports include wood, wood materials, concrete, and steel, with the component to be supported being wood or wood materials. The area of application includes connections of crossing beams, fastening rafters to purlins, and as a beam shoe replacement for building in existing structures. It is independent of beam width and serves as a tension anchorage, including transverse tensile safety provided by the long leg, with the uppermost nail at 160 mm. Connection possibilities include wood/wood and wood/concrete.
