I have had the Smart Sileno for a few months now. Unfortunately, the GPS is very inaccurate, which makes it very difficult to exclude certain areas on the map, for example. Does anyone have any experience of whether and if so how this can be improved?

We have been using the Gardena robotic lawnmower for some time now. The device works absolutely reliably and is not GPS-dependent but is orientated to the control and boundary wires laid under the lawn. It starts according to the time programme and returns to its garage correctly. No problems with use so far.

The price was recently increased by 600(!) francs. At the same time, this model is already available elsewhere for less than 1000 francs. How can this pricing policy be explained?

The offer for Fr 1714.30 is not from Digitec/Galaxus itself but from the third-party supplier itema systems CH https://helpcenter.digitec.ch/hc... Third-party suppliers sometimes have a way of pricing that is not really understandable. They use the reach of the Digitec/Galaxus online shop and that not all buyers make a price comparison or are simply too comfortable.

"The smart Gateway box is the heart of the GARDENA smart system. Placed inside the house, it uses your WIFI network to establish a connection to the internet and allows wireless communication between your smartphone and all smart system devices installed in your garden." The boundary wire is necessary to delimit the area that the robotic lawnmower is to mow. It is laid in a loop so that the robot does its work within the loop.

So this is a product purchased in Germany with a German power plug. Who then does the warranty work and how long will it take to have your lawnmower ready for use again in the peak season? Husquarna Switzerland probably won't do it!? And you probably can't take out the warranty extension with Husquarna Switzerland for this machine either, can you?

Yes, the item comes with a German connection. The warranty runs through Digitec Galaxus AG. The item is sent to our service partners and checked by specialists. Warranty work usually takes 2 - 4 weeks.

Why is the warranty extension almost twice as expensive as at Gardena itself. E.g. Gardena smart SILENO life 1500 set worth 1799.- costs CHF 158.32 at Gardena, at Galaxus I paid CHF 306.-:-(

The best thing to do is to contact our customer service directly at https://helpcenter.galaxus.ch/hc.... Because even an extension to 5 years should not cost 306.-, it may be an error in the system.
