High-quality filter material made from recycled glass. Ensures crystal-clear water thanks to improved filter fineness. Additionally, it reduces filter contamination through enhanced backwashing properties.

Description
Eco Filterglass PLUS is a highly advanced filter material for sand filter systems, made from green, white, and brown recycled glass. It replaces sand as the filtering medium and improves filter fineness. Furthermore, backwashing becomes significantly more effective with the use of Eco Filterglass PLUS. Dirt collected in the filter is completely removed through backwashing. The improved backwashing results reduce water consumption and the need for disinfectants.

Application
Eco Filterglass PLUS completely replaces sand in all conventional sand filter systems. Since Eco Filterglass PLUS has a lower bulk weight than sand, 15 to 20% less glass (in kg) is required. Eco Filterglass PLUS is available in two grain sizes:

  • Grade 1: 0.3 - 1.0 mm
  • Grade 2: 0.8 - 2.0 mm

Recommended filter speed: maximum 30 m/h
Recommended backwash speed: 40 - 50 m/h

Eco Filterglass PLUS is ready to use. For filling, follow the manufacturer's instructions similar to filling with sand.
