3M Shielding Tape No. 1170 consists of a smooth aluminum foil backing with a conductive acrylic adhesive.

Special features include being UL flame retardant and having an acrylic adhesive that is resistant to solvents.

Applications include the dissipation of static charge and electromagnetic field shielding.
