The X-SYNC 2 Eagle chainring is radically new. SRAM's engineers have analyzed the performance and wear of thousands of X-SYNC chainrings. Chainrings of all sizes were subjected to every conceivable load, both in the test lab and in the field. The goal was to create a chainring that enhances the performance of the Eagle group under all conditions. The result: the chainring teeth are longer and shaped like a saw blade, allowing them to engage perfectly with the Eagle chain. This new chainring increases chain tension and efficiency while pedaling, while simultaneously reducing friction, chain noise, and wear.
