The Women's Alp Mate Mid WP by Salewa is designed for both fast mountain tours and leisurely hikes, as well as multi-day hut trips, thanks to its robust construction. These lightweight hiking boots are made from soft suede and feature breathable mesh inserts made of synthetic fibers. The integrated membrane in the upper material makes the outdoor shoes waterproof, ensuring dry feet at all times. An EVA foam midsole and the grippy Pomoca MTN Trainer Lite outsole provide ample comfort for the feet. Both the heel and toe areas are reinforced with rubber, allowing the Salewa Women's Alp Mate Mid WP hiking shoes to tackle technically demanding terrain with ease.

The Salewa Committed symbol marks products that meet strict internal criteria regarding environmental and social sustainability at Salewa. A Salewa product must fulfill two mandatory criteria and at least one additional criterion. The mandatory criteria include:

1. Chemically tested: For more than 90% of the product weight, at least one of the following criteria is met: a) The main material (or the entire product) has been externally chemically tested according to the chemicals regulation by Oberalp. b) The main material is bluesign certified.

2. Monitoring of social standards in production: The second mandatory criterion is the adherence to social standards and appropriate working conditions at a production site, which are verified by external audits.

Depending on the product, the additional criteria may include upcycling, recycling, specific material compositions, PFC-free treatments, or down sourced from responsible farms.
