The brand new Giro Insurgent Spherical offers the protection that our top riders demand, from the Enduro World Series to the Red Bull Rampage. Our engineers have maximized the vents for cool, fresh air, optimized the exhaust openings, and connected everything with deep air channels. A lightweight, soft, and absorbent padding set includes a forehead pad with a special shape that directs sweat away from the eyes. For each of the three sizes, two different cheek pads are included, allowing for a customized fit, and they can be quickly and easily removed in the event of a fall using the snap button system. Weighing in at 1,040 grams in size M/L, the Insurgent is very light, despite providing additional safety through its efficient Spherical Technology. The Insurgent Spherical utilizes two inner helmet shells that function like a sphere and a pan to redirect impact energy during a fall. One shell is made of EPS foam, which effectively absorbs energy during high-speed crashes. The other shell is made of lower-density EPP foam with rebound properties that absorb energy during low-speed accidents.
