Question about Tineco Floor One S5 Extreme
I almost can't believe this, so I'll ask again; is it really not possible to replace the battery? If this is really the case, are there people who have been using the device for several years?

No, you can't replace the battery. Ours could no longer be charged after about 1.5 years, so we got a new device.
It is no longer a secret that this device has a fundamental problem with the battery. In my opinion, this is a significant defect in the device and the manufacturer should extend the warranty on its own initiative. But that's another story.
My device was just over 2 years old but wasn't used 10 times. It stopped charging shortly after the warranty expired (like many others).
The fact is: The statement here that the battery is not replaceable is NOT true. You can replace the battery. It's not plug & play, but most people can do it. You don't need any special tools or anything. A normal Phillips screwdriver is sufficient. A total of 4 or 6 screws. Unfortunately, replacement batteries are not offered here on Galaxus. Unfortunately, you have to go to the competition.
With the help of a YouTube video, I changed the battery in 15 minutes and the device works TIPTOP! Throwing away a device just because of a faulty battery is neither sustainable nor sensible in any way. Fortunately, there is a new EU regulation that in future manufacturers are OBLIGED to make the batteries of their devices replaceable or to design them in such a way that anyone can replace the battery themselves.

I used the Pro version for 2.5 years. Then the fresh water supply stopped working.
But as the device makes my work incredibly easy and therefore saves me a lot of time, I then bought the Extreme version (cheaper because of the screen without animation - otherwise just as good).
The battery will hardly be the problem... The Tineco is used once a week for approx. 120m².

Battery cannot be replaced. I have been using the appliance for about 2 years and can still clean the flat (120 square metres) without any problems.

To be on the safe side, you can ask directly on the Tineco site (support), I have been using two of these devices for about 2 years, I haven't noticed any loss of the battery yet
