For me, even more important than the container the coffee comes in is where the coffee comes from, how fresh the coffee is, whether the farmers were paid fairly, how much energy is used to transport and pack the coffee in spheres and much more. There are much bigger environmental levers there than leaving out recyclable aluminium capsules. Is there more specific guidance here? If CoffeeB creates transparency in these issues, I would also buy the sustainability idea.

"kmuinformatik" writes in the evaluation that the electricity is a minus point. Does the CoffeeB need more electricity than a comparable Nespresso machine?

Electricity is needed for the pump and the heating. The pump current can be neglected. What really needs electricity is the water heating. And here physics applies. It always takes the same amount of energy to heat a certain mass of water by 1°. So either you are in a hurry and need a large current flow in a short time, or it takes longer with a smaller current flow. Therefore, these statements by "kmuinformatiker" are not coherent.

Why is the return and warranty score hidden on the CoffeB machine? It is visible on the other capsule machines. Is it because the manufacturer has stopped this? In the meantime, I don't know anyone who still has the machine and has never had to return it under warranty. Ours has also been "under repair" at the manufacturer for 4 weeks now.

This is because we have sold too few of these machines to show a reliable quota here. Other brands also have more models, which also makes it easier to show a quota.

The machine is much too high. My Essenza from Krups is 20cm high and just about fits upright in the Sortimo L-Boxx 238, which makes it unsuitable for me personally. Besides, the capsules cost twice what I currently pay. Environmental protection has to be practical and affordable. And if I were to switch now, I'd end up with electronic waste again, because my Twin at home still works perfectly.
