Davis Sonic Anemometer 6415
The solar ultrasonic anemometer has been designed to measure wind conditions without any moving parts. It measures wind speed and direction using electroacoustic transducers that send sound pulses back and forth. The time it takes for the pulses to travel from one transducer to another is influenced by air movement. Speed and direction can then be calculated with calibration for air temperature. The Sonic Anemometer features its own solar panel that charges an internal battery. It is compatible with Vantage Pro 2 wireless and wired systems.
