Made of double-walled borosilicate glass for better insulation, hot beverages stay hot for longer and cold for longer. The double-walled glasses from Bodum are made of hand-blown borosilicate glass, which makes them light and at the same time very robust. Even after many years of use in the dishwasher, the glass does not become cloudy. Beneath the glass bottom there is a hydrophobic silicone membrane which is used to equalize the pressure between the glass walls. It allows the glass to' breathe', so cold drinks do not form condensation on the glass surface and the glass does not leave any unsightly wreaths of water.
