Question about Catit Pixi Fountain
Hello together I have bought two of these fountains and have been using them for about 5 months. Unfortunately, the pump almost doesn't work any more, or almost no water is pumped up. This is despite the fact that I had cleaned the entire pump and the "pipe" several times. Are there any other such experiences? Otherwise, it would be a good fountain option.
I have had good experience with soaking the pump
in vinegar. Afterwards, rinse it well with water. This has had an effect and the thing works perfectly again.
The tip from Gourmetchoc (vinegar) is quite good and more animal-friendly than chem. Descaler (Durgol etc.), but requires extensive rinsing with water afterwards because the taste is too intense for cats' noses. Dishwasher rather not because of drying heat. It is a pity that Galaxus does not have the replacement pump, which is known to be the most sensitive spare part, in its range and that you have to get it elsewhere (e.g. from Zooplus for Fr. 14.90).

Personally, I put the pump in the dishwasher every two weeks, protecting the USB plug, and then it's back to full speed.
Hi! I too, after just a few months of use, the pump ua stopped working,l despite good maintenance. Galaxus refunded me and now I honestly don't know whether to buy it again. I find the motor rather poor.
