The Trixie Reptiland Desert Pro Compact 10.0 UV-B Lamp 23 Watt is a terrarium lamp designed for reptiles and amphibians from desert and savanna environments, mimicking sunlight with UVB. UVB is crucial for reptiles and amphibians: only under UVB can reptiles produce vitamin D3, which contributes to healthy digestion and proper bone development. This lamp emits both essential UVB and UVA rays, which also stimulate activity and appetite. The optimal daylight output encourages plant growth and creates as natural lighting conditions as possible. Diurnal reptiles from desert and savanna regions are optimally supplied with UVB by this lamp.
