The Tetra BF 800/1000 plus replacement filter sponge effectively filters aquarium water in the Tetra internal filters IN 800 plus and IN 1000 plus. Bacterial cultures settle in the filter sponge, which are biologically active and convert toxic nitrite into the plant fertilizer nitrate. Additionally, the sponge structure provides mechanical filtration that removes visible particles from the aquarium water. It is also suitable for saltwater aquariums.
