For aquarium plants, the correct CO2 content in the water is of great importance. Carbon dioxide serves as the main nutrient for the plants and thus acts as a growth promoter for their full development. Plants use CO2 for photosynthesis, providing the water with vital oxygen. They help prevent algae growth, remove pollutants, offer hiding places, and reduce disease pathogens. The diffuser supplies the aquarium water with uniform bubbles of the main plant nutrient, carbon dioxide. The diffuser is compatible with all common CO2 systems and connects to a CO2 hose with a diameter of 4/6 mm. It can be mounted in the aquarium using a suction holder. The right amount of CO2 varies for each aquarium and depends on the volume, water movement, and plant density of the aquarium. A CO2 test can be used to check the CO2 content.
