Promotes robust plant growth. The porous structure allows for the rapid establishment of beneficial nitrifying bacteria. Contributes to maintaining a neutral to slightly acidic pH level - ideal for planted aquariums, tropical fish, and shrimp commonly kept in planted tanks. Does not alter the water color and controls the water color when using brown driftwood. Used in freshwater aquariums.
