The Exo Terra substrate for snakes is a biodegradable substrate for reptiles made from sustainable wood. It is ideal for breeders and professional reptile keepers. The substrate is dust-free and particularly soft, making it suitable for even the most sensitive species and newly hatched animals. It has been heat-treated to prevent potential contamination from bacteria and to enhance its absorbency. The unique texture of the wood fibers allows reptiles to create solid nesting cavities that resemble their natural hiding spots. The high absorption rate (3:1) and quick-drying properties make this 100% natural material an extremely low-maintenance substrate.

Application

Ensure that the terrarium or breeding tub is disinfected and dry. Spread an even layer at least 2.5 cm thick on the bottom of the terrarium or tub. Clean the substrate spot-wise daily and completely renew it every 8 weeks, or as needed.
