Question about Epson WorkForce ES-580W
It has already been asked here how the quality of scanned photos is. But I would like to know if this scanner is good for scanning photos in different formats. I know it is a document scanner, but I would like to scan a few hundred old photos and then use the device as a document scanner. Is it possible to automatically scan old photos in many different formats in good quality?

I have scanned a lot of postcards and picture postcards, and even though not all of them were exactly the same format, it worked quite well. Sometimes a few millimetres are missing from the edge.
I used my ES-580W to place a batch of 18 photos in 10x15 cm format in the document feeder and scanned them at a resolution of 600 dpi. This worked perfectly and the quality of the scans is, in my opinion, about the same as the original photos.
No, not suitable for photos, as stated in the instructions. This scanner is very good for digitising documents in PDF, but definitely not for photos.
