Question about HP 940xl

I have a HP8610 and a HP8720 printer. Can I use the HP940XL cartridges in both printers? Apart from different notches on the back, the cartridges seem to be identical. Karl Hunkeler

Helpful answer

According to the cartridge search on https://www.hp.com, the 8610 comes with cartridge model 950+951 and the 8720 with cartridge type 957+953.

Therefore, it is safe to say that the above 940XL is not compatible.
