Applying the Vinyl to Fabrics
To ensure that the iron-on vinyl lasts as long as possible on the textile you want to apply it to, it is important to apply the vinyl correctly. Therefore, follow the instructions as closely as possible. Make sure that the garment you want to apply the design to is clean. Also, wash new garments before applying the vinyl, as they are often treated with chemicals to make the colors appear more vibrant. These chemicals should be removed before processing.
Now, preheat the area where the design will be ironed on with your iron for five to ten seconds. Make sure to turn off the steam function if you are using a steam iron. Next, place the design on the preheated fabric and iron over it in circular motions for about 30 seconds.
