The young prince Siegfried fearlessly travels the world in search of glory. One day, he is attacked by a dragon and defeats it in battle. During the fight, his skin becomes rock-hard in places from the dragon's blood. He immediately rubs this blood all over his body, and from then on, no blade can harm him.

When Siegfried learns in Worms that Princess Kriemhild has been kidnapped by a monstrous dragon, he traverses the entire land to find her. Along the way, the young hero battles gigantic monsters, encounters old allies, and discovers a precious treasure.
