What would you give for your heart's desire? Pete's best friend Sara is terminally ill. As a last resort, Pete whispers his dearest wish into the ear of a department store Father Christmas. The wish comes true and Sara gets well, but in return Pete has to give up his shadow. He soon realises that a person without a shadow is no longer a real person. Pete devises a plan to win back his shadow. But he has made the calculation without a dark and ancient power.
