Ali Mitgutsch, born in Munich in 1935, decided to become a freelance graphic artist during a very exhausting apprenticeship as a lithographer. He studied at the Graphic Academy in Munich. His inspirations came from numerous travels around the world. In July 2003, he was honored with the Schwabinger Art Prize.
