Here is the answer from our product department: We have checked both specifications on the Brothers website and they are identical. The only difference is the colour.

The maximum image size that can be cut is 297 mm in width. The maximum material thickness is 1.5 mm. The integrated scanner can capture images up to a size of 30.5 cm x 30.5 cm.

I am satisfied. However, the scanner does not recognise some things in the scan cut function. For example, when it has an image inside a circle, it sometimes recognises the image and not the circle.
