Intuition, a captivating album featuring short pieces for solo cello with piano or orchestra, was conceived by Gautier Capuçon to reflect the story of his life and to trace the various phases of his emotional development. It brings together beloved works by composers such as Saint-Saëns, Fauré, Massenet, Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff, and Elgar, as well as more recent music by Astor Piazzolla, the Italian cellist Giovanni Sollima, and the pianist Jérôme Ducros, who is also featured on the album.
