The world of crime begins at your doorstep. Winter in Leipzig, the city frozen in icy cold. In a car by the Elster-Saale Canal, the stiff, frozen body of a lawyer is found. What initially appears to be a routine murder case for the experienced detective Hanna Seiler and her unconventional colleague Milo Novic quickly reveals itself to be a tangle of criminal entanglements. In the possession of the deceased, they find incriminating material, including a photo of a missing underage girl who has been gone for a week. As the city sinks into snow, the investigators must enter a dark world where even the youngest engage in dangerous games.
