The Souverän is the classic from Pelikan. The production of the Souverän barrel involves a complex process, as a striped piece of material is created from cotton in many steps, following a recipe specially developed for Pelikan. This material is then shaped and subsequently ground to contour with a diamond. The palladium rings on the grip and cap are fitted with the utmost precision before the writing instrument is polished to a high gloss. The slightly springy, typical Pelikan beak clip gives this high-quality writing instrument its distinctive design. The Souverän M805 piston fountain pen features an 18-carat fully rhodium-plated gold nib and is available in nib widths EF, F, M, and B.
