Machine Learning mit Python für PC, Raspberry Pi und Maixduino
German, Günter Tensioner, 2021Product details
Nearly everyone is increasingly confronted with applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Music or video recommendations, navigation systems, shopping suggestions, etc., are based on methods that can be attributed to this field. The term Artificial Intelligence was coined in 1956 at an international conference, the Dartmouth Summer Research Project. A fundamental idea was to model the functioning of the human brain and, based on that, construct advanced computer systems. It was soon expected that understanding how the human mind works would lead to a straightforward transfer to machines. This notion turned out to be somewhat too optimistic. Nevertheless, the advancements in modern AI, particularly in its subfield known as Machine Learning, are undeniable. To explore the methods of Machine Learning in more detail, this book will employ several different systems. In addition to the PC, both the Raspberry Pi and the Maixduino will showcase their capabilities in various projects. Alongside applications such as object and facial recognition, practically usable systems like bottle detectors, people counters, or a talking eye will also be developed. The latter is capable of audibly describing automatically recognized objects or faces. For instance, if a vehicle is in the field of view of the connected camera, the information "I see a car!" will be conveyed through electronically generated speech. Such devices are highly interesting examples of how blind or severely visually impaired individuals can benefit from AI systems.
