Larry lives in a city with a special past - at the end of World War II, Demmin witnessed the largest mass suicide in German history. For Larry, however, her hometown is primarily one thing: boring. She wants to get out into the world as quickly as possible and become a war correspondent. While Larry struggles with the challenges of growing up, her elderly neighbor is preparing to move into a senior living facility. While sorting through her belongings, she recalls the end of the war in Demmin and makes a fateful decision.
