Here's what the manufacturer says: Simply wash the pouches by hand with warm soapy water and a brush or place them in the top rack of your dishwasher.

I put them on and it doesn't seem to be a problem. Maybe in the long run it will make a difference, but for now it's in order.

Hello, I did not buy the container to fill the bags and it works very well without! The bags open at the bottom so it is not necessarily necessary.
