The camera of the S22+ is worlds better than that of the A53. The S22+ has the much better processor and is not a plastic bomber like the A53. While this doesn't justify Samsung's overpricing, it's only logical that the S22+ is more expensive than the A53.

I don't see any serious differences that would make me not buy the cheaper A53.

Actually, no one needs more mobile phones than an A53. But you can't directly compare the S22+ or S22 Ultra, which are more than twice as expensive. As has already been written, the camera in the S22 is far superior to that of the A53. The display etc. is also better in the S22 series, especially in the S22 Ultra. Does this justify the high price of the Ultra? Sure, no! But there are differences where you notice what is upper class and middle class.
