Yes, the pictures are sharp, which is hardly possible with an optical image stabiliser. The zoom photos are also very usable, because the phone has a 10 MP zoom camera with a 4m 3x optical zoom. If you zoom in beyond 3x, the photos do not automatically become bad, but that would be digital zooming, where you lose details again, but you only see this clearly when you look at the pictures on your PC.
