So the hard drives don't have to be installed and configured? I can use the NAS directly as with a hard bundle?

Hi

Yes, it is likely that you will have to format them or configure RAID. But they will probably be installed. Otherwise, it's child's play with Synology ;) regardless of whether it's installation or configuration.
