Hello, Do you know if this kit is a dual-sided memory module? My mainboard ( intel DP55KG) only supports 256 M x 8/256 M x 8 SDRAM Organization for Front-side/Back-side for 4GB DIMMS. Corsair don't seem to be specifying it on their data sheet. I don't mind the brand, I just want to find a kit of 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 240pin. I don't mind if it's 1600MHZ but ideally in 1300MHZ. I'm having trouble finding compatible memory. Best regards

Hi and thanks for your answer.

I found this info on www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000007160/b... it seems to go more in depth than the manual.
I bought Item 2436941 Kingston ValueRAM (2x, 4GB, DDR3-1333, DIMM 240)
and it doesn't seem to be

compatible, my BIOS recognizes it but the motherboard restarts a few times and tells me there were POST errors. When I manage to get Windows to boot it instantly gives me a BSOD with "system thread exception not handled". I tried a few different things like changing the timings etc but it won't boot. I presume the Supported DIMM configurations page I linked above might be the reason.

Kind regards

Where did you get this information?

If you look in look into the DP55KG Product Guide (p. 15):
www.intel.com/content/dam/support/us/en/documents/boardsandk...

You could use single and double sided memory up to 16GB (2x8GB or 4x4GB)
