Question about SIM + eSIM: Does this mean that Fairphone 6 can operate two numbers from different suppliers in parallel, like a dual SIM mobile? What is the "first" number eSIM, SIM or is it freely selectable? And because I don't know it yet... The eSIM is not bound to any physical form, but is communicated to me by the supplier as a code. Is that correct?

The Fairphone 6 supports a physical nano-SIM and an eSIM at the same time, so you can use two numbers from different suppliers in parallel, similar to a dual-SIM mobile phone. However, there is only one physical SIM slot, the second number runs via the eSIM. Which number is considered the "first" is freely selectable and can be defined in the settings.
The eSIM is not actually linked to a physical card, but is provided by the supplier as a digital code (e.g. QR code) that you download and activate on the device. This allows you to save several eSIM profiles, but only actively use one at a time.
