The ASUS USB-BT500 is a Bluetooth adapter designed primarily for connecting computers and other devices to Bluetooth-enabled peripherals such as headsets, speakers, keyboards and controllers. It does not enable a Smart TV that does not originally have a Bluetooth function to become Bluetooth-enabled.

The adapter must be plugged into a USB port of a device to give that device Bluetooth functions, but it cannot be connected directly to a Smart TV to give it Bluetooth capability unless the Smart TV has a USB port and supports the use of such an adapter, which is usually not the case.
